This Shielded Outdoor Waterblock Tape Direct Burial CAT6 Cable is specifically designed for installations where the cable will be buried underground in conduit. Featuring 8 conductors (4-Pairs) of solid bare copper with a high density polyethylene (HDPE) insulation and a low density polyethylene (LDPE) Jacket.
This CAT6 outdoor cable also includes aluminum foil shielding which helps eliminate and protect against electrical interference that could impede your signal. For added moisture protection this cable includes a waterblock tape that repels water keeping it out of the cable and away from the conductors.
Our Shielded Category 6 Waterblock Tape Direct Burial Outdoor Cable is created for residential outdoor direct burial LAN applications, making it the ideal solution for installation runs that require the cable to be buried underground in conduit. Additionally, this CAT6 outdoor cable has a tinned copper drain wire which grounds the electricity after it has been terminated. This drain wire is required on all shielded cable in order to prevent signal loss, cross-talk, and other performance issues. This cable is tested to perform up to speeds of 600MHz.
