American Made Fiber Optic Closures & Pedestals

Fiber enclosures or fiber closures provide a secure space for optical fiber fusion splicing. Primus Cable’s fiber enclosures are all hermetically sealed and can be used in aerial and underground applications. The fiber enclosure comes in either a horizontal or vertical orientation.

Primus Cable offers the following fiber optic closure products:

• Fiber dome enclosures
• Fiber inline closures

The Fiber Optic Dome Splice Enclosure is made to accommodate up to eight splice trays, and is compression sealed making it safe to install underground. This fiber enclosure is easy to install, and does not require special tools to install. Up to six cables can be installed in this fiber enclosure utilizing multi-port grommets. It is GR-771 and CATV industry compliant.

Another popular fiber splice enclosure is the Fiber Optic Inline Splice Enclosure. This high capacity splice closure is designed to handle major splice points in a network. This splice enclosure accommodates both inline and butt splice configurations, and can be expanded using an optional kit. The closure utilizes gasketed sealing along with a patented cable seal which allows for mid-span access to the largest cables.

Primus Cable also offers the Optical Terminal Splice Enclosure for an extremely versatile, industrial size networking installation. This fiber splice enclosure supports the splicing and termination of optical drops and splicing in aerial, pole mount, and wall mount applications. Its composition of impact resistant polyethylene is specifically designed for outdoor environments. This unit holds up to 24 single fusion splice trays, or 96 single splices, or 192 ribbon splices.
