Telco Blocks are utilized to connect phone systems to data networks. There are two popular forms of Telco Blocks: the 66 Block and the 110 Block. The 66 Block is quite common in modern phone systems, as they simplify connecting multiple phone lines. The 66 Block is also referred to as B-Blocks, M-Blocks, and as split-50 Blocks. In addition, the more recent 110 Block is becoming ever more popular. The 110 Block preserves the twists in each twisted pair of cable right up to the connection point. These Telco Blocks are commonly used for data networking applications, and have superior crosstalk characteristics over the 66 Block. The 110 Block also allows for higher density terminations and provides for higher bandwidth specifications.
