VFI4 Visual Fault Identifier
The VFI4 Visual Fault Identifier utilizes a red laser light source to identify faults along a run of fiber optic cable. Faults are located by spotting light escaping from sharp bends and breaks in jacketed or bare fiber. This handy VFI4 Visual Fault Identifier also identifies faults in poorly mated connectors.
This tool complements any OTDR as it can locate faults within the OTDR's dead zone. The handy VFI4 packs a powerful Class 3R laser with a 10 km range all in the size of a key fob. Powered by a single AA battery, it lasts over 30 hours in flashing mode.
The VFI4 Visual Fault Identifier is also handy for testing AFL FAST Connector installation to ensure connectors are mated properly. Use this tool to quickly identify the other end of a spaghetti pile of fiber cables. Universal 2.5mm connector interface is compatible with FC, SC, and ST connectors. There is also an option for a 1.25mm adapter for LC, and MU connector types.
