Network Video Recorders (NVR)s contain no dedicated video capture hardware. Generally used in IP-based systems, this type of security video recorder records video images in digital format, receiving data through a wireless network from IP cameras. The NVR security system video recorder doesn’t have to be in the same location as the cameras, since it receives the data wirelessly.
